How to Clean and Wash Plums Correctly

Washing Plums with Baking Soda Wash

  1. Use soap and warm water to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Because your hands may be contaminated with germs and debris, it’s best to start by cleansing them.
  2. If you’re going to soak your plums in your kitchen sink, make sure it’s clean and sanitized first.
  3. Use your kitchen sink to wash a huge quantity of plums. Use a large, clean mixing bowl for a smaller amount.
  4. Fill the bowl or sink with cold water to about 2/3 full, leaving enough room to add the plums without the water pouring over the edge. To the cold water, add baking soda.
